Bhadgaule topi, a black headdress with a hooked symbol of two khukuris crossing over each other is one of the originalities of Bhaktapur. The Bhadgaule topi translates to the headdress of Bhadgaon (By the way, Bhadgaun is the old name of Bhaktapur).
Its basic black colour, on the other hand, makes it more appealing and classy. Though it is more expensive than the standard Dhaka topi, it is worthwhile to have one with you. People often wear it to suit it with their daura suruwal for parties.
However, in addition to inhabitants, tourists are recognizing it as a gift from Bhaktapur. Because it is a handcrafted item, these days, it has become a more valuable Bhaktapur merchandise.
